Joe Railton is an Electrical Engineer with extensive managerial experience in the Marine Industry with Container Vessels, High-Speed Craft, Ro-Ro and Ro-Pax Ferries, from the design stage through the construction to the operational aspects.

Joe worked for Sea Containers and Stena Line for over 20 years in the roles of Electrical Manager and Superintendent, covering both the Fleets of vessels, various ports and infra - structures owned and operated by the companies. He acted as Project Manager for Stena Line UK responsible for major technical changes to the Fleet ensuring on going compliance with legislative requirements.

He left Stena Line in 1999 to work for a major shipyard group in the UK primarily as their marketing manager, but also as an electrical consultant, setting up their regional South East operation. In 2001 he started up his own successful marine consultancy business working from the design/ plan approval stages of new buildings through to the construction stages as Project Engineer then to the commissioning element as Project Manager.

Joe is a member of the Institute of Electrical Engineers, with professional qualifications in his related discipline. During his career he has acted as company representative on the G.C.B.S.
